Artist Statement

Construction sites are commonly perceived as spaces to pass by without notice. Yet within these environments, I attend to elements that are often overlooked—details that most people would disregard. The temporary taping of glass windows and the incidental markings left on dusty plywood form visual structures that extend beyond their functional purpose, revealing traces of labor and states of incompletion.

These fragments generate unintended compositions and rhythms, suggesting a subtle order embedded within apparent disorder. My practice begins with discovering visual possibilities at construction sites that remain largely unseen. Through these moments of attention, the work brings forward connections between process, material, and making, revealing unexpected parallels among construction, visual art, architecture, and engineering.
